traveling by ferry

Shelter Island is located between the North & South Forks of Long Island. It is a 4 mile by 5 mile piece of paradise. It can be reached via the North Ferry from Greenport to the north (an approximately 10-minute trip) or via the South Ferry from Sag Harbor/ North Haven (an approximately 10-minute trip). Ferries are drive on or walk on and run often and year round. On our wedding night we have arranged the ferries to run later, the last South Ferry and last North Ferry leave Shelter Island at 12:45am.
**FERRIES ARE CASH ONLY, atm is located at ferry station if needed**

Traveling by Car

If you are traveling by car the ferries are accessible from Long Island Highways or take the Cross Sound Ferry from Connecticut to connect via the North Fork.
